Unlike more intensive exfoliating acids, PHA has a larger molecular structure, allowing it to work primarily at the skin's surface for a gentler, more controlled approach to exfoliation. This makes The Refining Lotion an ideal introduction to regular resurfacing, including for skin that may be less tolerant of stronger exfoliating acids.

At the heart of the formula, OLUMES’ signature FCS Complex™, derived from nutrient-rich seaweed sourced from the pristine waters of Semporna, Sabah, complements the exfoliating action with hydration and skin-conditioning support—helping maintain a smoother, more comfortable and resilient-looking complexion.
