LET’S FIGHT ACNE!

Keep your face clean

Whether or not you have acne. It’s important to wash your face twice daily to remove impurities, dead skin cells, and extra oil from your skin’s surface. Washing more often than twice daily is not necessarily better because iit may do more harm than good to your skin. Use warm water and a mild facial cleanser. Using a harsh soap can hurt already inflamed skin and cause more irritation. Avoid scrubbing your skin harshly with a washcloth, an exfoliating glove, or loofah. Gently wash it with a very soft cloth or your hands. Always rinse well, and then dry your face with a clean towel, use the washcloth only once and use a new one for the next routine.

Moisturize your skin

Many acne products contain ingredients that dry the skin, so always use a moisturizer that minimizes dryness and skin peeling. Look for noncomedogenic on the label, which means it should not cause acne. There are moisturizers made for oily, dry, or combination skin. Please enjoy the sunshine in moderation. Avoid peak hours, and protect your skin with an appropriate product.

Avoid stress and be relaxed

If you are feeling stressed, try and find a way to unwind. Exercise will help you to keep your body in good shape (and feel more in control too). You can find some tips for reducing stress here.

Watch out for your skin

Lastly, the best steps you can take to avoid friction acne are to take a shower as soon as possible after sport. Recommended wearing cotton rather than Lycra clothing whenever possible. Try also to keep your hands away from your face and clean your mobile phone, pillow cases and towels regularly to keep bacteria to a minimum.
